Dec. 23--Denver Broncos starting running back C.J. Anderson says he is sorry for his conduct toward the media -- which analysts called Marshawn Lynch-like -- after Monday night's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Anderson took to Twitter on Tuesday to say he was wrong for answering reporters' questions with the same phrase over and over, which Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has begun doing.
Lynch's mother has said in the past that Lynch hates the media, but it has also been reported that Lynch is genuinely made uncomfortable by crowds. Both reasons have been attributed to his repeating the same phrase over and over to reporters.
Whatever the reason, Lynch has been fined six figures for not talking to the media, which is a violation of league policy.
Anderson said the kind of behavior he showed Monday night is not in his character.
"I apologize 4 my actions towards the media yesterday. I was very frustrated in the way I played. I'm not that type of guy #neveragain," Anderson tweeted.
After the Broncos were beat 37-28 by the Bengals on "Monday Night Football," Anderson answered all questions with: "We just played terrible. We've got to get better, watch tape, get better next week."
