Broncos are only NFL team with 2 nationally televised preseason games

Coincidence? A return to relevance?

Make of this what you will: the Denver Broncos are the only team in the NFL that will have two nationally televised games this preseason.

Denver will kickoff preseason against the Atlanta Falcons in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio on Aug. 1 before later hosting the San Francisco 49ers on “Monday Night Football” on Aug. 19. Those two games will be nationally televised on NBC and ESPN, respectively.

Here’s a look at the league’s nationally televised TV schedule, with all times Eastern:

  • Thursday, Aug. 1: Broncos vs. Falcons (8 p.m., NBC)
  • Thursday, Aug. 15: Raiders at Cardinals (8 p.m., ESPN)
  • Sunday, Aug. 18: Saints at Chargers (4 p.m., CBS)
  • Sunday, Aug. 18: Seahawks at Vikings (8 p.m., FOX)
  • Monday, Aug. 19: 49ers at Broncos (8 p.m., ESPN)
  • Thursday, Aug. 22: Jaguars at Dolphins (8 p.m. FOX)
  • Friday, Aug. 23: Bills at Lions (8 p.m., CBS)
  • Sunday, Aug. 25: Steelers at Titans (8 p.m. NBC)

Denver’s three other preseason games (at Seahawks, at Rams, and vs. Cardinals) will be locally televised on 9NEWS/KTVD-Channel 20.
