Broncos announce 8 roster moves

The Denver Broncos announced eight roster moves Monday.

The team signed third-year defensive lineman DeShawn Williams, who went to training camp with the Broncos last year and spent part of the 2018 season on the team’s practice squad.

Williams (6-1, 295 pounds) signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as a college free agent out of Clemson following the 2015 NFL draft. After a three-year stint with the Bengals, Williams went on to spend time with the Broncos, Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts.

Denver also signed three tryout players from rookie minicamp: tight end Bug Howard, offensive lineman Nathan Jacobson and defensive lineman Deyon Sizer.

Howard (6-4, 220 pounds) hauled in 124 receptions for 1,770 yards and 14 touchdowns during his three years with North Carolina. Jacobson (6-5, 280 pounds) was a two-year starter at right guard for UNLV. Sizer (6-4, 280 pounds) totaled 138 tackles and 10 sacks during his four years at Colorado State-Pueblo.

To make room on the 90-man roster for the four new arrivals, the Broncos waived tight end Temarrick Hemingway, defensive lineman Jaylen Johnson, defensive lineman Cashaud Lyons and tackle Brian Wallace. The roster is now full again.
