Broncos agree to 4-year deal with rookie OL Netane Muti

The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms on a four-year deal with rookie offensive lineman Netane Muti, the team announced Wednesday.

Muti’s contract is expected to be worth $205,792 with a total value of $3,500,792, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. His signing bonus will be prorated over the four years of his contract for salary cap purposes.

Muti (6-3, 307 pounds) only played in five games for Fresno State from 2018-2019 due to injuries. He started all 14 games as a redshirt freshman in 2017 and his highlights from that season are fantastic.

Muti, the team’s sixth-round pick, will likely serve as one of the team’s backup guards this season. Dalton Risner and Graham Glasgow will start — Muti, Elijah Wilkinson, Austin Schlottmann and Nico Falah will be among the players competing for backup jobs.

Denver’s draft class will have combined salary cap hits of $9,980,665 but the net cap hit will be closer to $3,219,217. After signing their draft class, the Broncos will have about $13,837,021 in remaining salary cap space.
