'Broken' - Sabri Lamouchi reveals cruel Nottingham Forest injury blow

Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall is facing almost two months on the sidelines with a foot injury.

The centre-back has been a key player under Sabri Lamouchi, but will be out of action for the next “six or seven weeks”.

Worrall had started the Reds’ first two league games, but was one of seven changes made by Lamouchi in a 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town.

The academy product’s absence meant debuts in the centre of the back line for summer signings Loic Mbe Soh and Scott McKenna, as Tobias Figueiredo was also left out of the matchday squad.

And while the duo gave a positive account of themselves, it was still a fourth successive loss for the visitors as their terrible start to the new term continued.

“He will probably be out for six or seven weeks,” Lamouchi said of Worrall.

“He has broken something in his foot.

“It is a blow.

“But when you start bad, you have some bad news and bad news.

“With the new players and the new faces, we need some positive things - like the two centre-backs.

“We need to give the new players positivity.”
