One lane of a slip road leading towards the M62 has been closed this morning after a crane broke down.
Drivers heading along the northbound carriageway of the M6 could be in for some delays this morning, after a broken down crane has blocked part of the exit at junction 21A for the M62.
The first lane of the slip road has been closed to allow for recovery, although the second lane remains open.
Highways England posted about the incident on their Twitter page.
The post read: "M6 northbound slip to the M62 eastbound at J21A (CroftInterchange): 1 lane (of 2) on the slip has been closed due to a broken down crane."
Traffic is currently coping well, but as commuters head out onto the roads drivers could see some slight congestion building.
It's not yet known when the slip will be reopened, but highways officers are on scene to help clear the incident.
