Broken bottles have been found sticking out of the ground and covered over with leaves at a popular Swansea park.
The jagged edges of the broken glass were positioned pointing upwards when they were spotted hidden under piles of grass and twigs at Cwmdonkin Park, in Uplands.
They were alongside a pathway close to the children's slide.
A dog walker, who did not want to be named, made the discovery at around 10am on Sunday, February 14.
"I went to the park on Sunday morning and went up the slope past the slide and along that path," they said. "It was near the path that goes along the top of the big slide.
"I went to pick up my dog's mess and brushed the twigs away and found four bottles purposely smashed and put into the ground with their necks down.
"They were covered with grass and twigs."
The dog walker explained that the glass had been positioned in such a way that it could have injured children or dogs visiting the park.
They added: "I picked up all of the glass and put it in the bin. It could have ripped a child's foot apart or a dog's."
A spokesman for Swansea Council said: "Incidents such as this are rare in our parks and it’s concerning to think someone may have done this with the intention of causing injury.
"We would encourage anyone that discovers any hazards such as broken glass to contact our parks team so we can deal with it immediately."
