BOSTON _ Rookie guard Malcolm Brogdon took over in the final 2-plus minutes to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 103-100 win over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night at TD Garden.
Brogdon scored three baskets and had two assists down the stretch, and his fadeaway 16-foot jumper with 3.9 seconds left put the Bucks ahead by three.
Greg Monroe then broke up an inbounds pass and Celtics guard Marcus Smart took a wild shot that missed badly before the final buzzer.
The Bucks (39-36) stayed in sixth place in the Eastern Conference race, keeping pace with fifth-place Atlanta, which won at Philadelphia.
Giannis Antetokounmpo paced Milwaukee with 22 points, Khris Middleton had 19 and Brogdon 16 for Milwaukee, which won for the 13th time in its last 16 games.
Isaiah Thomas had 32 points to lead Boston (48-27) and Avery Bradley added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
