Broadway Park in Edinburgh acquired in £28m deal

Edinburgh office park Broadway Park has been purchased in a £28m deal.

The space, which is part of the well-established Edinburgh’s South Gyle Business District, has been bought by Glasgow-based developer Ambassador Real Estate.

Broadway Park comprises of four office buildings at a total space of 147,400 sq ft and currently houses Heineken International’s UK Headquarters as well as Aberdeen Standard.

It was previously managed by Oval Real Estate.

Chris Richardson, Investment Director at Ambassador Group, parent company of Ambassador Real Estate, said: “We are extremely pleased at Ambassador to get this deal completed, especially when there is a lack of good stock when the market is especially buoyant from an occupier and growth perspective.

"It is a great addition to our portfolio of assets in Scotland adding four quality office buildings in a prime Edinburgh location where there is so much activity."

Nick Prior, Co-Founder at Oval Real Estate, added: “We are pleased to sell following a repositioning of the asset to bring Aberdeen Standard to the park on a long-term lease.”

CBRE, Savills and PMP, as well as law firms Brodies and DWF, advised on the deal.
