Broadway mourns Josh Grisetti’s death at 44

  • Josh Grisetti, a Broadway star, television actor, and dedicated musical theatre educator at Cal State Fullerton, has died at the age of 44.
  • His death was confirmed as suicide by fellow actor Rob McClure, who described the loss as “just a cataclysmic loss”.
  • Tributes from co-stars Rob McClure and Sierra Boggess highlighted his brilliance as an actor, director, and writer, and his significant impact on his students.
  • Grisetti had recently withdrawn from directing a production of Legally Blonde in Italy, citing personal reasons, and posted a final message on Instagram.
  • His notable credits included Broadway productions It Shoulda Been You and Something Rotten!, a television appearance in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel . He is survived by his wife, Mackenzie.
