A new business centre offering modern office and conference spaces is set to open in the heart of Hull.
Broadway House, in Ferensway, will provide 41 offices and two meeting rooms, as well as spaces for businesses to meet up and relax.
Hull’s newest business centre is expected to open in November, providing a new opportunity for companies looking to relocate or move into the city centre.
Rita Petkauskiene, who is launching Broadway House alongside business partner Brian Freestone, said: “I used to work with K2 in Bond Street, so all of my previous experience is in this sector.
“Broadway House seemed like a good opportunity for me. It is not too big, and as it is my first project, I didn’t want to go in too large too quickly.
“We are currently about half-way through converting the building into office space. There will be around 40 offices, a meeting room and a big training space.”
Broadway House will offer four floors of business space in Hull.
Located above Propaganda bar in Ferensway, the building has lay empty since its previous occupant collapsed into liquidation.
Rita and Brian are now brining Broadway House back to life, and hope it will provide the perfect space for businesses to move into.
“The location of Broadway House is perfect,” Rita said.
“It is right in the city centre, you have got restaurants and bars close by, and it is a two-minute walk from the train and bus station.
“There is plenty of parking either at Prospect Centre or St Stephen’s Shopping Centre, and I am confident this business will be a success.”
Rita said a shortage of modern business and office space still exists in the city centre.
She said when she was part of the team at K2 in Bond Street, businesses would get in touch looking to move into the complex.
“Unfortunately, when businesses were contacting us, we were having to tell them K2 was full,” Rita said.
“Broadway House will provide a different option for businesses.”
Broadway House will offer 24/7 access for companies, and also feature kitchen spaces on each floor.
It is expected to open in November, when prospective businesses can look around the different offices available.
Rita said in the future, she hoped to follow up the project with another office complex in the city centre.
