Broadmarsh shopping centre redevelopment work 'progressing well' with new signs

New temporary signage is being set up as work "progresses well" on the multi-million-pound redevelopment of Nottingham's Broadmarsh.

The signs are being set up at the shopping centre's Lister Gate entrance, which closes each night between 7pm and 7am for works to take place.

Shoppers are still able to access the Broadmarsh during the day and cut through to Collin Street.

Work has been underway for just over a year at the site which will transform the intu centre with new shops, restaurants, a cinema and bowling alley.

The refurbishment of intu Broadmarsh is expected to be completed in summer 2021.

Nigel Wheatley, centre director at intu Broadmarsh, said: “There have been some minor changes at our Lister Gate entrance recently and we are currently putting the finishing touches on some new temporary signage.

"As our exciting regeneration works progress, the walkway between Collin Street and Lister Gate remains open during the day but will still close each night between 7pm and 7am, with a short diversion via Maid Marian Way and Castle Gate, and vice-versa.

“We’re now just over a year into our major redevelopment of intu Broadmarsh and things are progressing well.

"We’d like to say a huge thank you to everybody for their ongoing patience and we can’t wait to open all the new places to shop, work, eat and play when work completes in summer 2021.”
