A murder investigation has been launched after a man left fighting for life after a drive-by shooting in Brixton died in hospital.
Four people, including a pensioner, were taken to hospital after shots were fired from a vehicle in south London early on Saturday.
A 25-year-old who was in critical condition has since died in hospital. He has been named by police as Keanu Taylor.
His next of kin continue to be supported by specialist officers.
Three others – aged 21, 47 and 70 – taken to hospital have had their injuries assessed as not life‑threatening or life‑changing.
Police were called at 1.14am on Saturday following reports that multiple shots had been fired on Coldharbour Lane, Brixton.
No arrests have been made at this time, but the Met said detectives are working “at pace” to identify those responsible.

Police are investigating if the stabbing of a man found in Acre Lane, some 300 metres from the shooting, around an hour after the attack, could be linked.
The stab victim was taken to hospital where he was in a life-threatening condition.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said: “As we work quickly to identify those responsible, our thoughts are with Keanu’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“This was a shocking act of violence which has had a devastating impact on those involved and the local community. I want to reassure residents that we are working urgently to identify and apprehend those responsible.
“It is vital that anyone who saw what happened, or has any information or footage, comes forward. Even the smallest detail could prove crucial to our investigation.
“Local residents will continue to see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days. If you have any concerns, please speak to officers.”

The shooting in a busy part of Brixton caused panic and a “packed” BBQ was said to have been going on at the time.
Several police officers could be seen searching an area of grass outside the Southwyck House estate on Saturday.
Moh John, 45, who works at supermarket Payless Food & Wine outside the estate said people ran into his shop when they heard the gunshots.
He said the people rushing inside the supermarket were “scared”, adding he kept the front door locked for “some time” before he re-opened it.
