Pat Lam has opted to leave the majority of his big guns at home for the club's opening pre-season game of the summer away in France against Brive this weekend.
While there are potential debuts in store for new signings Martin Mulhall, Morgan Eames and James Williams; but the majority of club's star men have not made the 36-man squad for the Bears’ trip to Saint-Affrique for the first pre-season match of the summer with the game kicking off at the Municipal Stadium on Friday night at 7.45pm KO BST.
Despite the club sharing videos of the likes of new signings AJ MacGinty and Magnus Bradbury training at the High Performance Centre, along with established stars like Steven Luatua, Harry Thacker, Callum Sheedy and Harry Randall, there is no place for them in this initial squad with two more friendlies
