Brittany Bowlen set to start working for Broncos again soon

Brittany Bowlen is taking steps toward potentially becoming the Denver Broncos’ next controlling owner.

She is expected to rejoin the team “within the year,” according to team president and CEO Joe Ellis.

“There are several strategic initiatives where she can be very helpful to the organization,” Ellis said at the NFL owners meetings Monday, according to KMGH-TV’s Troy Renck.

“She has the right skillset. She learned a lot at (McKinsey & Company Global Consulting), through business school and her (previous work) at the NFL (office). I am excited to have her back.”

Before he stepped down from day-to-day operations to continue his battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen set up a trust and tasked them with passing down ownership of the team to one of his seven children when a qualified candidate emerged.

Gaining valuable experience working for the team could help Brittany, 29, become a qualified candidate to run the team.
