Brits are pulling together to help Afghan refugees fleeing Kabul following the Taliban takeover, with charities inundated with donations and other support.
The country has been in chaos since the insurgents took control in the aftermath of the US withdrawing troops after 20 years - with many in fear for their lives.
The military-religious movement - regarded by many governments and organisations as terrorists - have drawn up brutal new rules, including a 'kill list', according to reports.
The streets were splattered with blood after Taliban fighters used guns, whips, sticks and sharp objects to maintain crowd control thousands of Afghans who continue to wait outside the Kabul Airport this week.
The capital city fell on Sunday as President Ashraf Ghani fled to an undisclosed location and his palace was taken over by the gun-totting group.
Under fire British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab insisted today that Downing Street has been ''working tirelessly'' to evacuate people from Afghanistan amid the ''rapidly deteriorating situation''.
The Government promises to take in up to 20,000 Afghan refugees, but only 5,000 in the first year, with neighbouring cities to the landlocked Central Asian nation set to see an influx of migrants.
Boris Johnson this week insisted Britain would honour its "enduring commitment" to Afghans.
In the meantime, a number of charities are appealing for support in helping get people out of Afghanistan, as well as helping provide aid to those there.
And Brits have been generously donating.

Here are a few ways you can help:

Donations will allow them to provide food, basic medical supplies and medicines, shelter and water to people in Afghanistan and the region.
Richard Blewitt, Executive Director of International, said: “Afghanistan is in crisis. Today millions of people are experiencing severe food shortages and hunger – compounded by decades of conflict, years of extreme drought and spiralling cases of Covid-19.
“The Red Cross and Red Crescent has been providing humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan for decades. We won’t stop now."
