Brits left fuming at disappointing Cadbury advent calendar filled with Chomps

Fuming Brits have slammed Cadbury for 'Christmas chaos' after discovering that their advent calendar was packed with Chomps.

Fed up chocolate lovers have expressed their disappointment online after opening doors on their chocolate calendar - only to repeatedly find Curly Wurlys and Chomps.

One fed-up man tweeted: "Day 4 of my Cadbury advent calendar and I've had a Chomp for the f****** 4th day in a row."

Another added: "I got my [son] a Cadbury calendar and 9 out of 11 days he gets a s***** Chomp. It is a Cadbury, not a Chomp calender ya tight g*** have a word."

Not everyone was impressed (Amazon)

A third disgruntled shopper added: "More (almost) hysteria. We've had consecutive Chomps in the Cadbury advent calendar. Double fudge and now double chomp. It's chaos

A few days later, he added: "This madness has continued. I'm on about 5 fudge and 3 Chomp out of 10 windows."

One woman wrote: "@CadburyUK‘s tower advent calendar is such a disappointment - unless you want a Chomp every day with the random Fudge bar and as yet, none of the promised stickers. What a waste of money

One customer on Amazon added: "If you want Chomp, Fudge, Chomp, Fudge, Freddo, Chomp, Fudge, Chomp, Fudge, buttons, then it's great. Just a bit expensive. The kids have been really enjoying their calendars. Apart from moaning about the Chomps and Fudges. First world problems.

One reviewer commented: "After paying £12 for an advent calendar I expected better than this. Not only was there no chocolate in door 2, my daughter has now had 4 ‘Chomp’ bars and it’s only 8th December - she doesn’t like Chomps!! Not impressed at all."

But others were more impressed, with one fan raving: "Best advent calendar ever!! Really good design, tricky to find the numbers which kid love, spread over all 4 sides of the tower.

"Chocolates are mini chocolate bars and good variety included. Would buy again, more money.. but worth it."

A Cadbury spokesman said:“Every year, we’re excited to share our Christmas products with our Cadbury chocolate fans.

"We review the mix of treats in our advent calendars regularly to ensure we are giving consumers an assortment of their favourites.

"However, there can be some minor deviations in the mix due to manufacturing processes.”
