Depending on where you call home, there will be things you do or see in your day-to-day life that are completely normal to you but might seem totally bizarre to someone from a different culture or background.
And for one American who now lives in the UK, one of the strangest things we do every day revolves around how our houses are built and where we park our cars, the Daily Star reports.
In a video on TikTok, the person filmed a row of houses on a street in the UK which all had one car parked on the driveway outside of each house, directly in front of a garage door that was built into the front of the property.
Confused, the American simply wanted to know why Brits don't park their cars inside the garages.

They wrote in a video on their @swfinds account: "Why do British people build garages in their living rooms but then park in their front yards? It's so strange."
And being unable to resist a good chance to poke fun, many Brits flooded the comments with quips about how the garages are used to store tea instead of cars.
One person wrote: "We store all our tea in there obviously."
While another said: “The garage isn't for cars so what's that got to do with the driveway? The garage is for storing tea bags and a permanently boiled kettle.”
And a third posted: "The garage is only for tea."
Some comments offered the TikTok user a decent explanation, as they said the garages are often too small for the vehicles of today, so are commonly used as storage spaces instead.
Someone said: “We just store stuff in there. The houses are quite small.”
As someone else added: “Yeah, I’m from the UK and some of the house designs make zero sense. The garage is mainly for storage, cars now are too big for garages.”
Meanwhile, another cultural difference between the UK and the US was previously uncovered when we reported that people were baffled after discovering that Americans don't have kettles in their kitchens.
Love Island Australia host Sophie Monk sparked a debate when she detailed her experience with living in the US, as she said she was shocked when several shop assistants were confused by her request to buy a kettle.
She said: “I was looking for a kettle, and they’re like, ‘Kettle?’ They don’t know what a kettle is! They don’t use them. They must heat water up on their stove. Yeah, no one has a kettle, which is crazy.”
Although the concept of not using a kettle is more than a little strange to us Brits, there’s actually a pretty simple explanation for the decision.
In America, homes only have a voltage of 100-127, while in the UK and other countries, the voltage in a house is around 230.
This means electric kettles in the US actually heat water more slowly than they do in the UK, so Americans haven’t bothered to invest in the appliances – choosing instead to boil on the stove or in the microwave.
