Devastated football fans have called on the government to allow another Bank Holiday in August despite England losing to Italy.
After the tournament ended with a victory for Italy in a dramatic penalty shootout many questioned what it would mean for a possible long weekend.
Some called on the extra day off as a way to 'mourn' England's defeat in the Euro 2020.
Hundreds of thousands of people have signed the original petition calling for an emergency Bank Holiday in the event of a win.
When asked if he would allow the one-off national holiday the Prime Minister previously said he didn't want to tempt fate.

But he did encourage work places to allow their staff to come in later if at all possible.
Cabinet ministers and insiders had put August 27 down as a possible date for a bank holiday, reports the Telegraph.
Following the defeat of Gareth Southgate's side a national holiday seems out of the picture but some on social media are staying optimistic, and have called for a day off as a way to mourn the loss.
One person wrote: "They can still make it a bank holiday, just one for mourning."
Another said: "Feel like I need a day to grieve… they should just give us that bank holiday please."
Another social media user said: "We still need that bank holiday."
Eight million Three Lions fans have already booked the day off on Monday and some schools have also said pupils can come in later in the day to allow them to be properly rested.
Unions had also urged bosses to let employees who want the day off to have it to avoid people pulling sickies.

Following the historic game, Prince William said the players should be "so proud" of themselves for their efforts, while Boris Johnson said they "deserve great credit".
William, who was at the match with the Duchess of Cambridge and their son Prince George, urged the players to "hold your heads high".
It comes as the Football Association and England have condemned the racist abuse directed at players after the Three Lions' heartbreaking Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy.
Italy ended England's bid for glory with a 3-2 victory on penalties in London, in a game which had earlier seen ticketless fans breach security to get into the stadium.
Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho all failed from the spot on Sunday night as England went down on penalties and were instantly subjected to sickening racist abuse, leading the FA to release a statement condemning the "disgusting behaviour".
