CHON BURI: A British man fell to his death from a condominium on Jomtien beach, near Pattaya, on Wednesday night.

The body was found on the ground in front of the entrance of a condominium complex on Jomtien Sai 2 Road about 9pm.

Police said the dead man was British, aged 60 years. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.

A security guard told police sent to the scene that he heard a loud sound, like a large object hitting the ground, while patrolling the area about 9pm.

He hurried to check it out and discovered a man's body lying face-up on the ground, with blood around his head. He immediately alerted police.

Police said investigators had not yet concluded why he fell. They were viewing security camera recordings and questioning people for information.

The body was sent to Police General Hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine for post-mortem examination.
