Britney: the charlatan view

No sooner had Lost in Showbiz filed that last update, than a press release arrived via email from "award winning astrologer and psychic Monte Farber". I have a feeling you pronounce that "Montay" as opposed to "Monty".

Anyway, in betwixt and between filling us in on a lot of stuff that's going to happen this year - "an obsession with teeth! Mercury? There will be research that shows that if you don't take care of your teeth you'll have illness... heart virus or heart attack" - and updating us on family projects (his wife has a "Spiritual Couture" line on sale in department stores), Montay has news on Britney's upcoming fortunes.

"I think she gets help and gets healthy," he muses. "Early in 2009 I see her having a successful new album and more of those TV guest appearances. She's taking her lithium. She wants to be with her kids. I think she'll have another child. I don't think she'll get married again. That's weird!!"

Thanking you, Montay. As I said, there's a lot more, so we'll be rolling out some more of his predictions for some other celebrities as the week progresses. After all, according to our hero, "presidents of publicly traded companies gladly pay him $500 an hour for his insightful perceptions", and we can call him on his cellphone. What shall we ask him? Suggestions welcome, although they must relate to personages from the entertainment industry. None of your civilian crap.

Incidentally, when drafting your queries, do be aware that Montay is SO over the whole gladiatorial thing. Literally. According to his own testimony, he "was a gladiator in a past life who was so good at fighting that I not only survived the ring, I became successful and had my own stable of gladiators that I trained and was an adviser to the Roman government about how to put on the games so people would not resent the huge taxation. I'm not saying that I was a likeable guy, but I can relate to the gladiator roll - I've had my fill of sports and people being hurt for other people's amusement."

Like I say, FYI.
