Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn says she's 'broke' as she's 'not on singer's payroll'

Britney Spears ' sister Jamie Lynn Spears has told fans she's "broke" amid claims she's the only member of the family not on the singer's payroll.

Taking to Instagram, the 30-year-old mum-of-two posted a photo of her looking wistfully at the camera during the 4th of July celebrations.

In a stinging Instagram story, the actress then shared an article which reported she's the only member of the Spears family who doesn't take a wage from Britney.

She captioned the post "Facts... NowLeave my broke ass alone".

The New York Times previously reported that Britney's father Jamie, 68, takes home $16,000 a month plus $2,000 a month for office space rent for being the co-conservator of his daughter Britney's finances.

While the New Yorker reported on Saturday that Britney's mother Lynne and brother Bryan also get paid by the singer, who is banned from managing her own money.

The publication reported: "Jamie, Lynne, and Spears’s brother, Bryan, have all spent years on Spears’s payroll, and, as friends who spoke with her at the time recalled, she was increasingly resentful of their efforts to influence her."

The report comes after Jamie Lynn revealed she has been getting online abuse regarding sister Britney's conservatorship battle.

The actress was in tears as she broke her silence over her sister's jaw-dropping court appearance in which she claimed the conservatorship which controls her life has been "abusive".

Jamie Lynn had remained silent on the issue, even turning off the comments on all of her Instagram posts.

But she took to her Instagram Stories to answer her haters with an emotional speech, saying she supports the end of the conservatorship if that's what Britney, 39, wants.

"Hey everybody, I just want to take a second to address a few things," Jamie Lynn said.

"The only reason I haven't before is because I felt like until my sister was able to speak for herself and say what she felt she needed to say publicly, that it wasn't my place and it wasn't the right thing to do.

"But now that she's very clearly spoken and said what she needed to say, I feel like I can follow her lead and say what I feel I need to say.

"I think it's extremely clear that since the day I was born I have only loved, adored and supported my sister.

"This is my freaking big sister, before any of this b******t."

Jamie then appeared to wipe away her tears, before continuing: "Maybe I didn't support her the way the public would like me to with a hashtag on a public platform.

"But I can assure you that I have supported my sister long before there was a hashtag and I'll support her long after. Note that."

Britney is reportedly being helped by an army of A-list stars who have set up a fund to help the singer fight to free herself from the conservatorship.

The pop princess is currently seeking to end the arrangement that has governed her life and finances since 2008.

Her father Jamie was granted control over her affairs by court order in 13 years ago.

In recent days it has emerged that Britney's request to have her father removed from the conservatorship had been denied, causing an outcry among her fans.
