Britney Spears has shown her fans a different side to her as she posts pictures of 'the real her'.
The 38-year-old singer took to Instagram on Monday evening to post a series of photos of herself looking very different to normal.
She then captioned the post with a lengthy explanation of how she gets insecure about her looks and usually puts a lot of "effort" into her appearance, but wanted to show off the 'real her'.
Her photos showed her wearing a baggy checked shirt and a pair of black framed glasses, looking totally different from her usual glammed up self.
She teamed the look with a pair of ankle grazing jeans and some blue Birkenstock sandals.
The photos were taken in what appeared to be her hallway, with a grand piano and a ladder in shot.
In two of the snaps she posed with her hands on the hips smiling for the camera, while in the third she stood with her arms by her side.
Britney captioned the photos: "Instagram versus Reality!!!! I wanted to show you what I really look like on a daily basis!!!!
"I can get insecure when photos are taken of me that I'm not prepared for ….. so I have always put so much effort into my appearance … but you know sometimes it's nice to not try so hard and pull down your walls every now and then!!!!
"It takes a lot of strength to do that!!!
"PS another fun fact about me …. instead of cheerleading I played ball in school and I was the point guard…
"I called the shots but dear God we sucked … we only won 3 games each season.
