Britney Spears joked in an Instagram post that she is starring in an upcoming Tim Burton Peter Pan film before admitting she was lying.
The pop star, 39, shared a video of herself twirling and dancing in her home wearing black shorts and a red crop top.
She also claimed that she's starring as Tinkerbell in an upcoming Tim Burton film, and then came clean by admitting there is no movie in the works.
Britney said: "I’m playing the lead in the new Tinker Bell movie … since Tim Burton is directing it, he’s coming over today to have tea … a lot of imaginative PLOTS !!! Can you imagine ??? Just kidding but it was a nice thought and s*** … you never know right ??? I’m excited either way !!!!"
Britney is known for her lengthy posts on Instagram and for sharing nude photos on the social media platform.
The star defended her posts in the caption for the clip to one clip of her dancing, saying: "This was shot in April !!!! I’m spinning yet again … why ????? BECAUSE I CAN … and I will be for a very long time !!!!"
The Grammy-award winner also explained the reasoning behind a slew of energetic posts that caught her fans' attention.
She said: "Explaining myself as to why I’m the queen of posting would get exhausting so I’ll just be honest and say … it’s because I like to SHARE !!!! Sharing is caring ….. and lots of times that can be daring !!!!!

And she even tipped her man for his next acting role.
