Britney Spears says it's 'weird' being single as she opens up on Sam Asghari divorce

Britney Spears has admitted she's finding it "weird" adjusting to being single again following her divorce from Sam Asghari.

The popstar married the model and fitness trainer in June 2022 following six years of dating after initially meeting on the set of one of her music videos.

The following year, Asghari, 29, filed for divorce from the Toxic singer, citing “irreconcilable differences”, with US new outlet TMZ recently revealing that a divorce settlement is likely to be announced “imminently”.

Taking to Instagram to ponder her current relationship status, Spears wrote: “It’s so weird being single. I’ve realised I don’t talk to myself that nicely at all. I’m easily manipulated and wear my heart on my sleeve, but I’m definitely changing all of that.

“I have to make time to stop and look around to re-evaluate myself and say is this good for me ???” she continued. “I like a routine and I usually do the same thing every day …. l’m honestly bored but I’m also scared of a lot of things … The way I live my life is mine ... I’ve had so many people interfere with that … But to know it’s ok to be selfish with my life and enjoy it is amazing!!!"

The question is, who will Spears be spending Christmas with?

She has been estranged for years from her parents Jamie and Lynne Spears, plus, younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, amid her long conservatorship battle.

Earlier this week, however, it was revealed that her mother and brother Bryan Spears had been present at her 42nd birthday party.

Asked in an interview by TMZ whether there was a chance Spears could be spending Christmas with her in Louisiana, her mum teased: "All things are always possible".
