Britney Spears' father Jamie Spears called for her to continue paying for his legal fees following the end of the conservatorship.
The Toxic singer, who turned 40 this month, regained her freedom in November after being under a conservatorship for the last 13 years.
Her father Jamie had been in charge of the conservatorship before his suspension in September, the same month Britney announced her engagement to her long-term boyfriend, Sam Asghari.
And now, Jamie's lawyers stated he protected his daughter while she was under the conservatorship and kept “opportunistic and wholly self-interested parties at bay”.
Legal documents, as obtained by PA, said that the 'prompt payment' of the fees would make the procedure 'wound up quickly'.

"Jamie seeks the Court’s confirmation, authorisation, and direction for the Estate of Britney Jean Spears…to make payments on account to Jamie’s attorneys participating in proceedings concerning Jamie’s ongoing fiduciary duties relating to the winding up of the Conservatorship… of Britney," it stated.
“Prompt payment on account of Jamie’s attorneys’ fees is necessary to ensure the Conservatorship can be wound up quickly and efficiently to allow Britney to take control of her life as she and Jamie desire."
According to Variety, Jamie's lawyers charge $1,200 per hour (£906).
The filing also claimed that Jamie 'stepped up' when Britney was 'incapacitated'. It also said he 'dedicated himself to protecting his daughter's health'.
It was recently reported that Jamie allegedly loaned £30,000 from the company he later hired to manage her estate when she was put under a conservatorship.

The singer's former manager Lou Taylor, who owns Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group, made millions managing her finances after giving the large sum of cash to her dad Jamie before the conservatorship was put into place in 2008.
According to the New York Times, Jamie allegedly borrowed funds from Taylor while his daughter was hospitalised 13 years ago.
The publication claims days later, Jamie filed a petition in a California court to take control of Britney's finances.
Earlier this month, Britney slammed her father for making her talk to Diane Sawyer in the infamous interview in 2003.
She claimed she was in a vulnerable state and didn't want to do the television interview but her management team "put that woman in my home and made me talk to her".
However, Jamie denied the claims and said he had 'nothing to do with her career at that point'.
