Britney Spears proves she's fully over Justin Timberlake beef with cute clip

Britney Spears has proven that there's no bad blood between her and ex boyfriend Justin Timberlake after sharing a throwback clip.

In the iconic video from the 2001 Super Bowl Halftime Show where Britney and Justin performed Aerosmith's Walk This Way with a host of other famous faces.

The pair were animated as they sang the rock track in front of a screaming audience, with Britney wearing her trademark low rise trousers and skin tight crop top.

Her outfit gave a nod to American football uniforms and she accessorised with a one elbow-length glove.

The Baby One More Time hitmaker captioned the throwback video with three red rose emojis and was met by fans pleading her to do next year's Super Bowl.

The couple dated for three years before they broke up in 2002 - which was documented last year in Framing Britney Spears.

The documentary highlighted Justin's treatment towards Britney at the time and accused him of "weaponising the narrative of the split to boost his own career."

The singer was met with huge backlash from fans and he was forced to release a statement.

He wrote: "I've seen the messages, tags, comments and concerns and I want to respond. I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn or did not speak up for what was right.

"I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.

"I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed."

Singer Willie Gomez commented: "THE BEST!! You need to go back and headline it. that would be EPIC."

Other fans wrote: "you deserve your own full superbowl halftime show" and "Britney the superbowl 2023 is YOURS"

"BRITNEY We are ready for you to take Super Bowl stage next or whenever you’re ready lol #2023," another added.

One follower wrote: "The absolute Best Halftime Ever!!!"

Britney and Justin were joined by NSYNC, Nelly and Mary J. Blige at the iconic sporting event.

The cheerful video comes after the singer revealed she was invited to speak about conservatorship in Congress, but she declined.

Her conservatorship ended in November 2021 after more than a decade of her dad, Jamie Spears, controlling her career and finances.

The pop star shared a photo of a letter from Congress, addressed to Ms. Britney Jean Spears.

Britney captioned the post: "I received this letter months ago … An invitation to share my story … I was immediately flattered and at the time I wasn’t nearly at the healing stage I’m in now.

"Number 1 - I’m grateful that my story was even ACKNOWLEDGED !!! Because of the letter, I felt heard and like I mattered for the first time in my life !!!"

She went on: "In a world where your own family goes against you, it’s actually hard to find people that get it and show empathy.

"!!!! Again, I’m not here to be a victim although I’m the first to admit I’m pretty messed up by it all … I want to help others in vulnerable situations, take life by the balls and be brave."

Britney's message concluded: "I wish I would have been … I was so scared and nothing is worse than your own family doing what they did to me …

"I’m lucky to have a small circle of adorable friends who I can count on … In the mean time thank you to Congress for inviting me to the White House …⁣"
