Britney Spears 'livid' after ex-husband Jason Alexander gatecrashes wedding of her dreams

Britney Spears was 'absolutely livid' after her ex-husband, Jason Alexander, gatecrashed her wedding.

The My Prerogative singer, 40, was preparing to tie the knot with her now-husband Sam Asghari, 28, at her home when the incident occurred.

Jason was Britney's childhood friend, with the two drunkenly getting married in January 2004 after days of partying.

However, she got the Las Vegas wedding annulled after a short 55 hours.

Almost 20 years later, Jason returned to her life and filmed himself on Instagram Live trying to ruin her special day.

According to Britney's attorney, Mathew Rosengart, the pop icon is 'absolutely livid' that he attempted to gatecrash the event.

He added to TMZ that Jason needs to be locked up.

The attorney told the publication that Britney is safe and added: "I am personally working with the sheriff's department to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

TMZ later added that Jason has since been booked for trespassing, vandalism and 2 batteries and remains in custody.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Department told Rolling Stone how he was detained by security personnel and arrested due to an outstanding felony warrant.

He was involved in a physical struggle as attempts were made to keep Jason from entering the venue before his phone stopped broadcasting live.

Britney and Jason got married when she was 23 years old after celebrating New Year's Eve week in Sin City.

Like many people, the drunken duo got married in A Little White Wedding Chapel in Sin City and even rented a green stretch limo.

"It was just so crazy, man," Jason told Access Hollywood about the spontaneous wedding at the time.

"We were just looking at each other and said, 'Let's do something wild, crazy. Let's go get married, just for the hell of it.'"

Chapel owner Charlotte Richards even told Rolling Stone that the two 'appeared to be extremely happy'.

"I thought it was a marriage that would last forever," she said, two days before Britney had the marriage annulled.

Several months later, she went on to marry Kevin Federline, who she shares two children with.

The duo stayed together until 2007. And now, around 15 years later, Britney finally got to celebrate love with actor Sam.

Celebrity guests included Selena Gomez, Madonna and Donatella Versace.
