Britney Spears lavishes praise on the women that have 'truly inspired' her life

Britney Spears has taken to Instagram to send a very public message of praise to the women who have inspired her.

The 39-year-old singer shared a gallery of images of the women she says have encouraged her and helped her to not 'feel alone' while while quarantining during the coronavirus pandemic.

Making the elusive list are famous faces including Sharon Stone, Natalie Portman and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears also received a mention - as did Miley and Noah Cyrus.

Last but by no means least up was health and wellness influencer Tawny Jane.

Alongside the images, the Hit Me Baby One More Time singer posted a long message: "These are the women that have truly inspired my life!!!!

"Being away from family and my boyfriend while quarantining was really hard for me but the good thing about social media is we can connect in a different way that helps us feel not alone in this crazy world!!!"

The singer signed off the message by saying: "These cool ladies always add a spark to my day."

Only a day earlier fans were convinced that the former member of The Mickey Mouse Club had been sending a series of cryptic messages on the social media platform.

It was a theory was discussed on the emotional and hard-hitting Framing Britney Spears documentary which looked at the Oops!... I Did It Again singer being trapped in a 13-year conservatorship.

Some of her fans think that she is a prisoner and her posts are a signal for help.

Last November, Britney unsuccessfully tried to oust her father from the conservatorship while her dad Jamie also failed in a bid to take more control.

The singer has since made a renewed effort to overturn the decision and have her dad permanently replaced as her conservator.

On Wednesday, Britney's lawyer Sam Ingham told a court hearing in Los Angeles that he will request that Jodi Montgomery, who was appointed temporary conservator of the singer's personal affairs in 2019, be made permanent.
