Britney Spears’ husband Sam Asghari bags movie role amid rocky marriage reports

Sam Asghari has confirmed that he is set to appear in upcoming action-comedy film Grand Death Lotto.

The 29-year-old husband of Britney Spears took to Instagram to reshare Deadline’s article announcing his casting, along with an image of a director’s chair on set featuring his name.

“Am I dreaming?” the Iranian-American model, actor, and fitness trainer wrote alongside his post.

According to an official synopsis, the Paul Feig-directed feature will centere on a woman who inadvertently comes into possession of a lottery ticket worth billions of dollars that is only redeemable if the individual in possession of the ticket survives until sundown. She then enlists the help of a bodyguard to keep her safe from potential assailants, as well as a fellow hired gun looking to kill her and earn a commission.

Awkwafina has been cast in the lead role along with John Cena and Simu Liu, who portray rival bodyguards.

Leslie David Baker, Seann William Scott and Becky Ann Baker will also appear.

Asghari’s exciting career news comes after he was recently forced to deny that his and Toxic singer Spears’ marriage was in trouble after they were both photographed not wearing their wedding rings.

In an attempt to shut down the rumours, he shared a series of images online where his wedding ring was firmly on and in view.
