Britney Spears ' fans expressed their concerns for the singer over a mysterious Instagram caption.
Some of her loyal following made sensational claims the pop star didn't type out the cryptic post herself on Instagram on Thursday.
Controversy has long surrounded the legal arrangement where Britney was placed under her dad Jamie's conservatorship, giving him full control over her life, career and finances since her breakdown in 2008.
A judge recently ruled Jamie would have to share his role with Bessemer Trust after Britney petitioned to have her father removed from the position.
For years, many of her fans have been calling for a #FreeBritney movement.

Britney caused a stir with her latest Instagram post, sparking conspiracy theories from fans.
The caption read: "This was yesterday ... nope not kidding wise a**es !!!! True f***ing story ... it was yesterday !!!!!!" (sic)
Social media was awash with concerns from fans who claimed the Circus hitmaker didn't write the message on Instagram.

Among the sea of comments, one wrote: "Britney didn't write this."
Others wrote: "That doesn’t seem like a Britney caption at all tbh."
"Someone’s mad they’re getting caught pretending to be Britney."

Britney has a loyal following of 28.8million on Instagram.

The Mirror reached out to Britney's representative for further comment.
