Britney Spears' fans fear for star's wellbeing after cryptic Pink Planet post

Fans of pop icon Britney Spears have feared for her wellbeing after a cryptic social media post.

The Toxic singer, 38, took to her Instagram account and shared an image of a pink planet in space.

Britney captioned the image: "This is the PINK PLANET .... aka GJ 504b ... the planet made of pink gas !!!!!

"It's even four times more massive than Jupiter !!!!! Can I just go here already".

Despite possibly just showing the singer's love for all things pink, some of her fans are fearing the post signals something more concerning.

One of Britney's followers wrote in the comments section: "i feel like every post is cryptic code for something..."

Another fan asked: "are you ok britney?"

"Brit Brit are you ok?", echoed another concerned fan.

Meanwhile, one with added urgency wrote: "ARE YOU OKAY?"

One of her fans interpreted the post: "She wants to escape and go somewhere far away".

Elsewhere, a fan delivered kinds words, writing: "we love you britney stay strong".

A different fan compared this to other recent posts from the star, writing: "She keeps posting about pink. There has to be symbology about pink she wants us to know."

Finally, one fan concluded: "SHE WANTS TO GO FAR AWAY! Britney we hear you!"

The posts come amid an increased debate regarding Britney's conservatorship, which has been in force since 2008 following her much-publicised mental health breakdown.

The singer has not been in complete control of her finances and important life decisions since 2008, with conservators including her father James 'Jamie' Spears and temporary conservator Jodi Montgomery, who is now in charge of handling her personal affairs until at least August 22, 2020, according to court documents seen by ET.

Recent reports have suggested that her ex-husband Kevin Federline has not stopped Britney from seeing their two sons : 14-year-old Sean and 13-year-old Jayden.

Additionally, Kevin was said to not be concerned about the controversy surrounding her conservatorship, with some fans creating a social media movement calling to #FreeBritney.

Recently, Britney's brother Bryan Spears recently claimed she wanted to leave her conservatorship but it was good for her family.

Bryan told the As Not Seen on TV podcast: "She’s always wanted to get out of [the conservatorship]."

He added: "I am aware that fans feel like maybe she’s being confined or held against her will in some capacity, but I can't really speak for them.

"The contract has been a great thing for our family, to this point, and we keep hoping for the best."
