Britney Spears’ conservatorship has been extended until at least late August after a judge decided to postpone a hearing due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The 38-year-old singer has been under a conservatorship since 2008, when her father, Jamie Spears, was legally put in charge of her affairs.
Jamie relinquished his conservatorship powers in September last year – with care manager Jodi Montgomery then being put in charge of Britney.
On Saturday, Entertainment Tonight reported that this conservatorship has now been extended to at least 22 August 2020 after judge Brenda Penny issued the extension.

The news of the extension comes after Britney’s family expressed concerned over the star's confession last week that she had accidentally burned down her home gym.
Drama unfolded at Britney's house when she left a candle unattended, igniting a fire that gutted her workout space.
No one was injured during the incident.

"Her family worries because they know Britney can get distracted and forget," a source told Entertainment Tonight on Saturday.
Britney alarmed fans when she shared the news that her home had been damaged by the fire.
Taking to Instagram last week, the pop star explained what had happened.

"Hi guys, I'm in my gym right now. I haven't been in here for like six months because I burnt my gym down, unfortunately," she said in a video streamed on Wednesday.
"I had two candles, and yeah, one thing led to another, and I burned it down," she revealed.
While she added more details of the dramatic event in the caption of the video, writing; "I walked past the door to the gym and flames BOOM !!!!!! By the Grace of God the alarm went off after that and yippy hoorah nobody got hurt.”
Britney endured a very public meltdown in the mid noughties – with footage of her shaving her head in front of a baying crows of paparazzi shocking fans worldwide in 2007.
Her troubles were affected by the collapse of her marriage to dancer Kevin Federline and following a custody battle over their sons Sean and Jayden, now aged 14 and 13 respectively.
Earlier this year, Jayden made headlines when he verbally lashed out at his grandfather, Jamie – and offered to reveal details of his mother's life in exchange for more followers on Instagram.
