Britney Spears concerns fans with Halloween pics showing her 'dead' and cuffed on floor

Fans of Britney Spears were left scratching their heads by the star's Halloween post.

The 39-year-old singer shared snaps of herself lying on the floor of her mansion in handcuffs and covered in blood.

But many of her 35.7 million followers weren't impressed by her choice of costume and scene and let their feelings known in the comments section.

While it was clear that the photos were staged and the blood was fake, some users still took to the comments section to share their concerns.

One fan simply wrote: "ummm," while another said: "Britney wth is this?"

And their thoughts weren't cleared by Britney's lengthy caption either. The Toxic singer wrote alongside the images: "5:45 ... she arrived ... the doorman said she came home alone !!! She went to dinner with two girlfriends and had 1 drinks ... took a cab home but was found one the floor by her neighbor ... it remains a mystery.

"Who would do such a thing ???," the star continued. "She had a wonderful family and of course they were nowhere nearby !!!!!

"Pretty lame I did this for Halloween last night but if interpretation is coincided with opposition what are the beneficial effects of an imaginative reality ???

"Is EFFORT to play it out an insult ???? Or is effort simply put ... just a play ??? One might do it better but who on Earth would do one bad ??? I mean COME ONE ... let's play!!! It's a start .... thoughts???"

She then added: "Stay classy 'Murica and don't do anything I wouldn't do because that's like a WHOLE LOT y'all."

The singer explained: "I'm saying in a crazy world like we have today that it's pretty important to stay safe !!! Like we did for Covid y'all !!!!! But still have fun ... I mean dug !!!! It's been 13 years for me so I'm a little rusty !!!! Ma and dad can I drive my car now ??? JUST KIDDING ... but seriously, can I play now ????"

The post comes shortly after Michael Jackson's son Prince had revealed that his dad would have supported the Free Britney campaign.

Appearing on Thursday's Good Morning Britain, the 24-year-old Prince told hosts Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins about his philanthropic work and continuing his father's legacy.

When asked about how his father would view the movement and Britney Spears’ bid to have her conservatorship ended, Prince said: "That’s a very tough question just because I don’t like to put words in my father’s mouth.

"I can’t say that I ever heard him mention anything about that and obviously this is something that’s really come to light in recent years, but knowing my father and the compassion that he had for individuals who wanted to remain in control of their own life as it was his goal to be in control of his own life, I would think that he would be very supportive of her cause.

"And he would understand the place that she’s coming from, and I think he would wholeheartedly support her," he added.
