Britney Spears breaks silence over 'severe emotional distress'

Britney Spears has broken her silence after checking into a mental health facility last month amid reports she was suffering with severe emotional distress.

Taking to Instagram , the 37-year-old posted a video in which she addressed the rumours surrounding her illness.

Speaking to camera, Britney told her fans: "Hi guys, just checking in with all those that were concerned about me. All is well.

"My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately, so I needed time to deal but don't worry, I will be back very soon."

She also captioned the clip with a lengthy message to her fans, in which she addressed the 'death threats and fake communications' that have been distressing her family.
