Britney Spears has reminded fans of her strong singing voice and teased them that new music could soon be on the way.
The pop sensation, 40, had previously said she didn't know if she'd ever perform again but an Instagram post on Wednesday had her fans hoping she'd changed her mind.
The Toxic singer uploaded a video of her belting out a tune in front of her mirror in a pink crop top.
And in the caption section of the post, Britney took the time to lash out at her family and said she will now be her "own cheerleader".
She wrote: "I just realized this today guys … after what my family tried to do to me three years ago … I needed to be my own cheerleader !!!! God knows they weren’t …"

She went on to post how she had found a host of impressive stats about her career, including how she had sold 33.6 million albums in the US alone, with nearly 100 million records sold globally.
The star continued: "No … I’m not auditioning for anything !!!! I’m reminding myself and the world of who I am !!!! Yes … I will be my own cheerleader …why ???? I’m here to remind my white "classy" family that I haven’t forgotten what they did to me nor will I ever forget !!!!
"Pssss new song in the works … I’m gonna let you know what I mean !!!!!"
As ever, fiance Sam Asghari was on hand to offer his full support, commenting on the post: "I fn love this soo much."
Other stars also took the time to praise the star, including Miley Cyrus who wrote: "#vocalbible"
And other fans were in agreement, with one saying: "A Britney song is all I want this Christmas. Santa, can you hear me?"
It's likely that the events Britney is specifically hitting out at her family about are referring to when they allegedly put her back into rehab in 2019.
Britney has been very vocal against her family since her conservatorship was ended last month.
Last week she claimed her dad and former management had made her give an interview to Diane Sawyer, in which she broke down on TV.
She posted a lengthy rant to Instagram about her 2003 interview with Diane Sawyer but the star deleted it shortly after.
In the post she revealed that she was in a vulnerable state and didn't want to do the interview but her management team "put that woman in my home and made me talk to her on national television".
She labelled Diane's approach as a "you're in the wrong" agenda and touched on how she was brought to tears during the emotional interview which took place shortly after her split from boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
