Britney Spears' boyfriend Sam Asghari encouraging her to get back into acting

Britney Spears' boyfriend Sam Asghari has encouraged his girlfriend to chase after her acting dreams.

The 27-year-old has been pursuing his own Hollywood career and wants his pop legend beau to be alongside him when he gets his big break.

A source claimed of the fitness trainer: "Britney's always had a passion for it and during the pandemic, Sam helped her gain the confidence to start pursuing movie roles again.

"[He hired] her an acting coach and encouraging her to work on a script about her life which they can star in together."

Britney's no stranger to the acting world, joining The Micke Mouse Club in 1992 at only 11 years old.

She starred in the iconic 2002 film Crosswords and appeared in a number of other movies including Austin Powers, Glee and How I Met Your Mother.

Mirror have contacted Britney's representatives for comment.

Britney and the model met in October 2016 on the set of her music video for Slumber Party.

He discussed their first meeting in 2018 with Men's Health magazine and claimed he made a failed joke but the two still hit it off.

Recalling the moment, Sam explained: "I was excited that I [would] get to meet one of the biggest artists of all time... I had butterflies.

"She said, 'Hi, I’m Britney' and I said, 'I’m sorry. What’s your name again?' I tried to be funny. I don’t think anybody got it."

Britney was recently thrown back into the limelight after the release of the New York Times documentary Framing Britney Spears, in which her conservatorship is discussed.

Her conservatorship means she cannot drive, go out alone or make her own financial decisions.

Fans have formed a movement known as #FreeBritney, backing her legal fight to regain her autonomy.
