Britney 'cried for 2 hours' and says her life is finally going in the right direction

By Vicki Newman

Britney Spears was left in tears as the support from her fanbase overwhelmed her.

The 39-year-old pop star spoke out about the #FreeBritney movement after her father Jamie was removed as her conservator for 13 years.

The star's fans have long petitioned for her conservatorship to be brought to an end, and now it looks as if that could happen very soon.

Britney has been under the legal arrangement for 13 years, in which time she's had next to no control over her own life.

She had told a court that she wanted her dad removed from his role and even said that he and others involved in her conservatorship should be in jail for the way they had treated her.

Britney felt she couldn't live her life the way she wanted to and was forced to work and make money for others, although her father insisted that he only ever had her best intentions at heart.

Addressing the movement in a post last night, Britney wrote: "#FreeBritney movement … I have no words … because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship … my life is now in that direction !!!!!

"I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it … I feel your hearts and you feel mine … that much I know is true !!!!!"

Britney had shared her statement alongside a clip of her striking model-esque poses in the garden as music played over the top.

Taking to the comments section, her fiancé Sam Asghari asked: " From a scale of 0-Britney how free are you?"

While singer Miley Cyrus commented: "You look soooooooo good "

Britney looked sensational in a pair of shorts and a white Bardot top, with her sleek blonde hair hanging loose around her shoulders.

And her devoted followers were quick to pick up on her apparent trip to the salon.

One told her: "Your hair looks beautiful queen"

"The hair we’ve been waiting for," another posted.

After being suspended as Britney's conservator, Jamie spoke out to say the court made the "wrong" decision.

He said in a statement through his attorney Vivian Thoreen: "Mr. Spears loves his daughter Britney unconditionally.

"For thirteen years, he has tried to do what is in her best interests, whether as a conservator or her father.

"This started with agreeing to serve as her conservator when she voluntarily entered into the conservatorship.

"This included helping her revive her career and re-establish a relationship with her children.

"For anyone who has tried to help a family member dealing with mental health issues, they can appreciate the tremendous amount of daily worry and work this required.

"For Mr. Spears, this also meant biting his tongue and not responding to all the false, speculative, and unsubstantiated attacks on him by certain members of the public, media, or more recently, Britney’s own attorney."

Despite what he says, it appears Britney is extremely happy with the development.
