A British woman accused of stabbing her husband to death has appeared in court for a second time in Malaysia.

Samantha Jones, 52, originally from Somerset, could face the death penalty if she is convicted of murdering John William Jones, 62.

She was pictured barefoot and handcuffed as she arrived at the courtroom escorted by prison guards.

Mr Jones' body was found at their home on the resort island of Langkawi on October 18.

The cause of the retired firefighter’s death was a single stab wound to the chest.

Jones appeared before island magistrates.

Her sister and four other relatives were in the public gallery.
