British TV analyst rips Alex Morgan for ‘distasteful’ World Cup goal celebration

Alex Morgan celebrated her 30th birthday on Tuesday by scoring the game-winning goal in the USWNT’s 2-1 semifinal victory over England.

The win puts the US team back in the World Cup final for a third straight time.

Morgan had fun after scoring her beautiful goal, as she mimicked drinking a cup of tea, which was a pretty good troll job against England.

Team USA has been celebrating a lot in this tournament, and has often been criticized for doing so because apparently you’re not supposed to have too much fun.

Lianne Sanderson, a former player on the England national team who plays for Juventus and is working as a TV analyst during the World Cup, wasn’t impressed with Morgan’s celebration, calling it “distasteful” because drinking tea is a big thing in England.

The best part is she says she doesn’t drink tea, but she’s still upset by it:

Seems a little much to me, as Morgan didn’t mean any harm by pretending to drink some tea.
