British Transport Police issue update after 'incident' at Bulwell Railway Station stopped trains

A woman has been taken to hospital under the Mental Health Act following an incident at Bulwell Railway Station.

British Transport Police were called at 6.47am this morning (October 25) after reports of concern for a woman's welfare.

East Midlands Railway Tweeted to say they were forced to halt trains between Nottingham and Kirby-in-Ashfield at around 7am.

No injuries have been reported, officials confirmed.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police were called to Bulwell Railway Station at 6.47am this morning (Monday, October 25) following reports of concern for the welfare of a woman.

"Officers attended, and the woman was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital for assessment."

At 7:15am, EMR Tweeted to say the incident had now been dealt with.
