British Transport Police investigating as bike and £45 of Marks and Spencer goods stolen from Central Station

An investigation is under way after £45 worth of goods was stolen from Marks and Spencer at Central Station.

Officers are also investigating the attempted theft of a bike which occurred at the same time.

British Transport Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they believe could help them with their enquiries.

Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch with the force.

A spokesperson for BTP said: "Can you help us identify this male?

"Officers are investigating an attempt theft of pedal cycle and theft of nearly £45 of goods from M&S at Newcastle Central Station.

"Text us on 61016 quoting 1900086615."
