British Transport Police appeal after sexual assault on train to Carluke

British Transport Police are today appealing for further information following a sexual assault on a train between Glasgow Central and Carluke.

The incident happened at 8.51pm on Thursday, July 11.

A man is reported to have inappropriately touched a woman, aged in her 20s, and made sexual comments to her. He was also aggressive to other passengers on the train.

The man is described as white, bald, tall, of a heavy build, and wearing a purple or pink hooded top, jeans, green trainers and carrying a white drawstring bag. He also had tattoos on his hand.

The service was the Glasgow Central to Lanark train.

 Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who knows the identity of the suspect, should contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 100 of 12/07/19.
