British teen who mowed giant ‘message’ for Trump interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel show

A British teenager who made headlines for mowing a giant penis into his lawn has told US chat show host Jimmy Kimmel that his parents were “very proud”.

Ollie Nancarrow, 18, spoke to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ via Skype on Tuesday night, telling the American talk show host all about his “creative” protest against Donald Trump.

The A-Level student mowed the rude outline with the words “oi Trump” into the grounds of his home in Bishop’s Stortford, Essex, the weekend before the president’s state-visit to the UK.

He told Mr Kimmel: “My parents loved it. I mean my mum was actually the one who helped me plan it.”

The show’s audience roared with laughter, as the late-night presenter responded: “Oh of course. My stupid parents get mad when I do stuff like that.”

The presenter introduced Mr Nancarrow by saying: “I figured it would be good to get to know the kid before I adopt him.”

He then launched the four-minute video interview, during which he quizzed the 18-year-old on what inspired him to protest, what kind of mower he used, if his “message” caused a “commotion” in his town and how he responded to a visit from police following the incident.

The art student explained: “I've had a strong passion for climate change for quite a while now, and obviously I knew Trump was coming in to Stansted.”

This drove him to create a giant polar bear and the message “climate change is real” in a separate field beneath Air Force One’s flightpath.

Mr Nancarrow, who is in his final year at The Bishop’s Stortford High School, later told of how: “I I came home from my exam the other day to be greeted at my door by ITV and a few detectives.”

“It’s been said that it’s been at risk of breaching the public indecency act which...,” he shrugged sheepishly, before adding that he had been “strongly advised” to remove it.

Mr Kimmel then revealed that the 18-year-old had transformed the phallic image into a “sea turtle” in order to avoid charges from Essex Police.

ABC, which broadcasts the popular show, did share an image of the original outline with viewers. However, as the host explained: “Unfortunately we’ve had to blur the image for our viewers at home who are offended by lawn genitalia.”
