British Talents Launch Independent Production Company Riverbird Films

Riverbird Films founded by Neil Biswas and Manjinder Virk.

British talents, writer-director Neil Biswas and actor-writer-director Manjinder Virk, have recently launched Riverbird Films, an independent production company that aims to create content for both international and U.K. broadcast and streaming platforms. The duo brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the table, with a diverse background in film and television.

Manjinder Virk, known for her breakthrough role in Peter Kosminsky's BAFTA-winning drama 'Britz,' has an impressive acting career that includes roles in acclaimed projects such as 'The Arbor' and TV series like 'Midsomer Murders' and 'Shetland.' As a director and producer, Virk has worked on short films and is currently developing her debut feature film, 'Things We Never Said.'

Neil Biswas, on the other hand, has made a name for himself as a writer for BBC and Channel 4 dramas, including 'In the Land of Plenty' and 'Second Generation.' He has also directed notable projects such as 'Bradford Riots' and collaborated with Stan Lee on 'Stan Lee's Lucky Man.'

Riverbird Films has an exciting slate of projects in the works, including TV dramas like 'Ghost in the Machine' by BAFTA-nominated writer Moira Buffini, a dark comedy series titled 'Bagel,' and a three-part drama called 'Home' written by Virk. Additionally, the company is producing a short film, 'Dekho' ('Listen'), for the Alzheimer's Society.

Both Biswas and Virk are passionate about telling compelling stories that resonate with audiences on a deeper level. They aim to bring fresh perspectives and voices to the forefront while creating content that is both entertaining and emotionally impactful.

With their combined expertise and commitment to storytelling, Riverbird Films is poised to make a significant impact in the TV and film industry, offering a platform for emerging talent and original narratives that captivate and inspire viewers.
