British Superstock champion Richard Cooper confirmed for Sunflower Meeting

British Superstock champion Richard Cooper will be competing at this month's Sunflower Meeting.

Cooper, who won on his debut at the event last year, is one of the first entries confirmed for the 2019 renewal.

The Buildbase Suzuki rider stunned everyone on his bow at the County Down circuit in 2018 when he took a breathtaking victory in the feature race, snatching the win from Danny Buchan and Michael Laverty,

Cooper also made his road race debut this year when he competed at the North West 200, finishing an amazing second in the two Superstock races behind James Hillier.

Cooper will arrive at Bishopscourt for the 42nd Sunflower Trophy races as British Superstock champion, a title he clinched with two rounds remaining.

Last weekend at Donington, Cooper finished second to Chrissy Rouse which was held in sketchy conditions.

Practice will take place for the Sunfower meeting on Friday, October 25, with racing on Saturday, October 26.
