British Superbikes star Luke Mossey sent sailing through air in horror crash

British Superbiker Luke Mossey was involved in a dramatic flying crash after he came off his bike at Cadwell Park circuit in Lincolnshire.

In the video posted online, Mossey can be seen speeding down the circuit before he suddenly loses his balance and is thrown into the air at high speed.

He flies around 6 feet above the ground for 20 metres before returning to the floor with a thump, mercifully on a grassy verge at the side of the track.

He then slides across the tarmac onto the other side of the grass, narrowly missing a rider who was behind him.

The following rider was forced to take a wide line off the circuit to avoid any injuries.

Mossey's bike crashes behind him, noisily spinning around and following him across the width of the track.

A spectator can be heard exclaiming in shock as the accident unfolds in front of the watching crowd.

Thankfully, despite the dramatic crash, Mossey sustained only minor injuries and will be free to return to action in a few weeks time.

Bennetts British Superbike Champonship confirmed that he had sustained a hairline fracture in his leg, but that he was already back in the action as a spectator.

For his part, Mossey confirmed on his Twitter account that he would be fit in time to race at Oulton Park.

He said: "Quick update after yesterday’s off I have a hairline fracture in the top of my leg nothing serious but with the nature of Cadwell it’s just to risky to try and ride, big thanks to the medical team and I’ll be back at oulton in a few weeks time! Ciao @OfficialBSB @OMGRacingUK"
