Coronation Street star Lisa George set the red carpet ablaze as she arrived at the Soap Awards on Saturday night in a sensational crimson dress - with the actress looking wolds away from her on-screen persona.
The 46-year-old TV star is best known for playing frumpy Beth Tinker on the long running ITV soap - frequently dressed in cheap leopard print and with flat, lifeless hair.
But free of the constraints of her downtrodden character, Lisa was absolutely sizzling as she arrived to watch the best soaps in the land compete for a range of awards.
Lisa struck up poses on the red carpet outside the Lowry Theatre in Manchester from where the awards were being dished out.

The soap star was glowing as she posed with a leg flashing through the thigh high slit in the side of her dress.
She brought ‘50s pin-up glamour with a well blown out hairstyle, flower in her hair, and a golden shell clutch.
Quizzed on the red carpet about her show’s chances of bringing home some gongs, Lisa sounded confident.
"Coronation Street has been amazing this year!” she gushed.

She added that she had her “Fingers crossed” as she prepared to sit through two hours of awards show shenanigans.
While Lisa herself was not nominated for any awards, she could share some glory if Corrie won the Best British Soap category again.
The show faced fierce competition from the BBC’s Doctors and EastEnders, fellow ITV soap Emmerdale, and Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
