Police in Manchester, England are investigating a knife attack at the Manchester Victoria station on New Year's Eve that wounded three people as an act of terrorism, reports the BBC.

The details: Authorities have reportedly arrested a 25-year-old male suspect for attempting to murder two people, who remained hospitalized. A British Transport Police officer was stabbed in the shoulder and released from hospital on Tuesday. The attack took place close to the Manchester Arena, where a suicide bombing killed 22 people and injured hundreds in May 2017 as fans were leaving a concert by singer Ariana Grande.
