British pair die after 'buggy falls down ravine' in Santorini

A tragic buggy accident has left two Britons dead on the Greek island of Santorini, according to local reports.

A man and a woman in their 20s are said to have fell into a 200m deep ravine.

The pair had reportedly been driving on the Profitis Ilias mountain on Sunday.

Fire services assisted to retrieve the bodies,

Its peak is the highest point on the island, which is popular with British holidaymakers.

Exact details of the incident are unclear.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is providing support to their families.

A spokesman said: "Our staff are assisting the families of two British people who have died on the island of Santorini and are in contact with the Greek authorities."
